Strategic investment in ABEM geophysical survey solutions by Indian authority

ABEM Instrument AB has secured a 4M SEK (USD $650K) order for geophysical survey equipment from an authority in India.
This order for resistivity and electromagnetic (TEM) systems has significant strategic value for the World Bank Group financed nationwide groundwater resource and quality mappings project in India. In the initial stage of this multi-year project, the geophysical survey systems will be used to assist the planning of survey methodology for the comprehensive nationwide aquifer-mapping project.
 
“This deal affirms the success of our new strategy for system solutions based on technology and know-how within the core business and strengths of our ABEM and MALÅ brands. The strategy focuses on three global areas – groundwater mapping, monitoring environmental hazards and infrastructure development – where the brands have garnered market-leader status for ground penetrating radar (GPR), resistivity and near surface seismic surveys” says the company’s CEO, Jonas Moberg.
 

ABEM Terrameter LS software update

October, 2012
A new software update is available for the ABEM Terrameter LS. The main improvement is the implementation of support for the ABEM SASLOG borehole-logging tool, which now makes the ABEM SASLOG compatible with the ABEM Terrameter SAS 1000/4000 as well as the ABEM Terrameter LS.

A new Spanish version of the ABEM Terrameter LS User Manual based on the software release 1.9 has been released and is available for download.

We have new application software (Release 1.10 for Terrameter LS) as well as new Linux System Software, which is now added as links on the ABEM website.
The new functions include:
  • Improved measuring at higher resistivity
  • Minor IP bug fix
  • More accurate Linux System timing – means faster relay switching and more accurate IP measuring
 

New Software update v1.6 released for ABEM Terrameter LS

The new release 1.6 ABEM Terrameter LS includes among other features:
  • Possibility to name projects and tasks
  • Saving settings in instrument templates
  • Activating the DHCP-server, enables network connection without a router
  • Ability to delete/repeat data points
  • Function for excluding a cable in connection with electrode contact test
  • Improved information presentation will show when it is possible to disconnect the first cable for roll- along
